I had walked the long way around campus to pick up tests (on the way to my car) when I realized that I locked my keys in my office. So all the way back I tromped to get back into my office for the keys. When I finally got out of the building, here’s what I saw. Beautiful.

I always carry this little $100 Fuji camera that slips into my purse and takes reasonably good pictures, so I dropped everything I was carrying under the overhang of the building (it had started raining), grabbed my camera, and began taking photos of what turned out to be a beautiful double rainbow.

Then I realized that I could get a much better shot of the rainbows over the central part of campus, so I grabbed all my stuff and ran around the building to take some photos on the more scenic side (again abandoning all my stuff under another overhang). Good thing too, because it only lasted about 3 minutes.

Sometimes you’ve just got to be in the right place at the right time with a camera. I’m sure that I forgot my keys just so that I would see these rainbows.
