Mysteries of the Emerging Adult Brain

Here are a few selected handouts from Diana Hestwood’s workshop “Unraveling the Mysteries of the Emerging Adult Brain Ages 18-20 (Often until Age 25)”

If you are looking for the PowerPoint presentation to use with students in the classroom, it is in an earlier blog entry here.

A note from Diana Hestwood about the bibliography in the selected handout pages: the key at the bottom of the page may not appear correctly. Books with a star-shape next to them are good for starting to explore brain-friendly teaching; lightning bolts indicate adolescent brain info; diamond indicates teaching students with special needs.
