Provocative Discussions / Futuring
Does your organization need to have a conversation about moving forward in the digital age? I have worked with several organizations to meet with faculty, leadership teams, and executives to provoke a conversation about moving forward. Topics can include adapting curriculum, leveraging technology appropriately, future of education, use of social media, technology policies, digital presence, and more. These are generally several-hour workshops/conversations and billed in the same way as speaking engagements, with fees negotiated in advance.
Social Media Consultations
Does your organization or company need some advice on making the most of your social media channels? I will meet with you, analyze your current social media strategy, and advise on strategies that will make your business or organization more successful. This is billed on a contract rate at $125 per hour.
Software Functionality and UI Design
Often, I consult for software companies who want insights into educational users and uses of their software. This is generally billed on a contract basis or by the hour at a rate of $125 per hour. I have a particular knack for getting teams “unstuck” when they are no longer making forward progress.
Serious Game Design
I’m currently engaged in a project to build several video games for learning, but am available to consult on games for other subject areas. I won’t build educational games that don’t first function as fun games to play, so if you think your game is going to be a “lame game” I can try to help you find a way out. This is generally billed on a contract basis or by the hour at a rate of $125 per hour.
Phone Conversations
If our conversation will be mutually beneficial, there won’t be a charge and I’ll be happy to speak with you. However, if you’re planning to just pick my brain for an hour, please understand that my time is incredibly valuable to me these days and I don’t have enough of it these days (every additional hour in a conversation means one less hour of sleep).
