Good song, but I hate that celebrities think they can influence my vote or any one’s vote just because they are famous , I would say people who vote for someone just because a celebrity “endorses” them (which I don’t think or I would hope there aren’t that many) are a little ignorant and shallow.

And I hate that some political parties think they can influence my vote or anyone’s vote just because they are good at making ads that are lies. I would say people who vote for someone just because some commercial says untruths (which I don’t think or I would hope there aren’t that many) are a little ignorant and shallow.

I think that one party should stop saying they are for “change” and the other party should stop blowing things out of proportion. Maybe these candidates should actually tell us what they are going to be doing for this county of ours (and I mean specifics). The economy is #1 issue in my book right now.

  4. Maria H. Andersen says:

I was under the impression that both parties were now advertising that they are the “CHANGE” party?

Agreed that we should be talking about what is actually going to be done – although Joel would (and probably will) interject here that it’s not realistic that either candidate, should they become president, can actually carry out their “plan” realistically.

Although I don't want people to vote JUST because celebs say they should…I'm happy if this type of thing gets people to pay a bit more attention and decide to get informed and vote at all! Though interesting that Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Buju Banton, Sergio Mendes, Pam Anderson, Peter & Gordon, and Nadirah are all foreign citizens…that's practically half of the cast!! Or is it scarier that I knew who everyone was???

Celebrity endorsements do not affect my vote, but I will say that it’s a wonderful tribute to Obama that this video was done. I’m just glad that there are people who support what he believes in. Today is 9/29 and the polls showed Obama with 50% of the vote and McCain with 45%. Sounds good to me! Carol
